Connecting to Social Media Skeptics

I just had lunch with friends who simply don’t get Twitter. In fact, they can’t even get past hearing the name “Twitter” before breaking down in laughter, not really wanting to hear another word about the reigning king of social media.

Putting Twitter aside for a moment, social media itself is still often misunderstood. However, some of us still trudge on, knowing the success stories that have been and those still to come.

    Because some people can’t handle or tolerate
    certain ideas.
    some people panic at any shadow of doubt others cast.
    some other people are more curious than others.
    some people like to exchange ideas,
    share, inspire each other.
    Inspiration can empower
    people like me-
    hipper Literal folks.
    some people can gain a
    lot via textual relationships,
    think about shy blonde little girl geek –
    I’m not so comfortable
    at parties
    and clubs.
    But I am a social human being.
    so I refuse to leave twitter alone.
    after all-
    I kicked Tivo 12 years ago- I don’t have a mobile +
    I Like to dialog.
    I am also a cyber veteran,
    I know internet –
    even before web 2.00 .
    some of the most significant relationship in my life
    are in fact people I met via Internet. Cyber space can block/ ban me if I do hurm.
    I am not trying to be evil. But I support my right to be ME= whenever I feel welcomed and comfortable
    and I thank Twitter for the share of knoledge it provides for me.
    for promoting pluralism and helping me feel I am a part of a community while usually I am a
    “hard Line Individualist” + crasy cat lady(((:
