I'm not sure what sending out spam in support of Rush Limbaugh has to do with being persecuted for being a Christian.

In fact, I'm not sure what Rush Limbaugh has to do with Christianity at all.

I would think that anyone who had read and absorbed the Gospels would want nothing to do with a creep like Limbaugh.

They are quantified by other users that will mark your messages as spam. It is one of those community filter things. Too many people mark you as spam and twitter will pretty much automatically flag your account. And then, if you push them to, they will manually review it. That is how almost every community on the net works where one man's spam is another man's porn.

I don't twitter or do face book much but I am aware that many do. I feel that it is definately a way to infiltrate what is now largely used by the less than edifying crowd. I can only hope that God's Holy Spirit will invade the all media. It is church out of the box once again. The world is ready!
I also have a friend who is too sick with MS to come to church at times. The online podcasts or any other available media can encourage others like my friend to hang in there. Any way God wants to fill us is ok by me!

To separate oneself from society in the name of 'Christianity' IS antithetical to the 'Christian' word, witness and wisdom of the historical Jesus whose name has been the essence of what truly is 'Christian'. It is fascinating and intriguing to me to observe how so many who attack or affirm 'Christians/Christianity' seem often so reluctant to connect their true personal beliefs, values, principles, philosophies, politics and ideologies to the wisdom, witness and words of Jesus of Nazareth. Those unwilling to compare our personal beliefs/values with historic Jesus have little credibility or integrity to call ourselves 'Christian', but that IS the witness of the historical Jesus who made himself vulnerable to all cultures, creeds, communities in his environ who questioned his motives, actions and responses. The first question I ask of those who dare call themselves 'Christian'- 'What beliefs, actions or values do you use to prove your life and faith as a Christian in comparison to what the historical Jesus said and did?'

If the real 'Christian' message cannot find resonance in society, any society, one needs to inquire about the bedrock beliefs, values, principles, policies and politics that purport to be 'Christian'. That is why I find disdain for an excuse of 'Christian Chirp' to be a VALID expression of 'Christian faith' compared to the historical Jesus and his life and witness. 'Christian Chirp', sounds to me, like a place where 'weannabee Christians' go to retreat from the realities and essence of truth in the world and 'talk to themselves' in the comfort of their lack of faith, lack of integrity and their immense political parlance and rhetoric that distinguishes them as more political than 'Christian'.

But what do I know, I consider myself a 'Christian', also....
